On-screen text lets you place words directly on your screen. Press ⌃⌥5, click where you want it, and type — a clean label appears on top of whatever app you are showing.

Use it to name a button, add a quick note, or call out a step during a demo or lesson. Clear it with ⌃⌥C. Nothing is saved or recorded; it is a live overlay.

Combined with drawing and the region spotlight, it turns any screen share into a guided walkthrough without switching to a separate annotation app.
