Start and stop recording from the menu bar — Limelight 1.2.4

As a native menu bar app, Limelight keeps its controls exactly where you expect them on a Mac. Click the icon to start a new recording, pause mid-capture, or stop and go straight to the editor — without ever switching away from what you are recording.

The icon changes state visually: idle, counting down, recording, and paused are all distinct at a glance. A small recording timer appears in the menu bar so you always know how long you have been capturing.

It is the right design for a screen recording tool — always accessible, never in the way, and immediately obvious when you are live.
