Native Apple Silicon build — M1 through M4 — Limelight 1.1.2

A native Apple Silicon build — full-speed recording and encoding on every M-series Mac.

Limelight runs natively on Apple Silicon (M1, M2, M3, M4) with a dedicated ARM build inside a universal binary. There is no Rosetta 2 translation — the app runs at full chip speed from launch.

The Media Engine in Apple Silicon chips handles H.264 encoding in hardware. Limelight uses it directly, so exporting an MP4 is nearly instant even for long recordings, and the battery hit is minimal.

On an M-series Mac, Limelight is snappier to open, uses less memory, and encodes faster than any Rosetta-translated recorder. It is the way the app is meant to be run.

What's new
