Limelight

Point at things while presenting a Figma design on a Mac

When you walk a client through a Figma file, a plain cursor makes it hard for them to see what you mean. Limelight spotlights your pointer and lets you draw right over the design.

In a Figma review, you say "this button" or "this spacing," but the audience cannot tell exactly which element you mean. The arrow is small and your words and pointer drift out of sync.

Limelight is a macOS menu-bar overlay. Press ⌃⌥1 to put a glowing spotlight on your cursor so people instantly see where you are pointing. Press ⌃⌥3 to draw freehand directly over the design — circle a component, underline a label, sketch an arrow — and ⌃⌥C to clear it. Because Limelight floats on top of everything, it works the same in the Figma desktop app or Figma in a browser, and over any meeting or recording tool.

Use the spotlight for general guiding and the freehand draw when you need to call out one specific element. Clear your marks with ⌃⌥C and the underlying Figma file is untouched.

FAQ

Does drawing change my Figma file?
